This lesson will be all about tools. When we interact with our texts, we do it through different tools depending on what we want to accomplish and, of course, depending on our personal preferences. We will quickly look at three categories of tools: Data Science Tools, Corpus Tools and Programming. We will then turn our attention to the tool we will use for this module: KNIME.

But first, a little bit about tool selection. While some tools have many functions and allow additional functionalities to be added through downloaded packages, it is not likely to end up with a "one-tool-fits-all" solution. Depending on what we want to achieve, we might even want to string the output of several tools together to try and get the best of everything. On the other hand, we might also want to automate the process as much as possible when interacting with large amounts of material.
