3.3 Reflect

Reflect

The framing stage is essential for design thinking as the chosen frame(s) guide all subsequent activities.
So, before moving to the next stage, take some time to reflect on:

  • Outcomes
What results surprised you and why?
What did you learn about the people you design for?
What did you learn about the problematic situation?
    What frames (implicitly) manifested themselves?
Do you need to adjust the preliminary research questions /design scope?

  • Process
What did you learn from the framing and scoping?
What surprised you and what did you learn from these surprises?
What went well, what went wrong?
Did it deliver what you expected/needed?

  • Personal growth
What where your goals on beforehand and what did you learn?
What implicit frames did you have and in what way were those different from others?
In what way did your own frames stand in the way/were helpful?
What was difficult for you to do and why?
What helped you and did what not?
